Beschreibung

In this course, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the concept of competence and become familiar with key definitions and models, including established approaches by the OECD and the European Union (EU). Particular attention will be given to competences identified as crucial for the future, with a focus on the EU’s Digital Competence Framework and the Future Skills Framework developed by Stifterverband and McKinsey (2018, 2021).

You will also engage in a self-assessment exercise to reflect on your own competences and will be introduced to the concept of Future Skills, which are regarded as essential for meeting forthcoming societal and professional demands.

Furthermore, the course provides an introduction to the notion of future competences within the context of the Digital Learning Campus (DLC). You will gain insight into the collaborative negotiation process within the DLC network that resulted in the identification of 7 future-oriented themes. Building on this foundation, you will be enabled to integrate relevant future competences into your own teaching designs, thereby supporting your learners systematic development within your DLC learning opportunities.
