Course Content:
In this course, it's time to put your skills to the test! We will develop remote-controlled robots in the 1-pound class (up to 450g) in small teams, which will then demonstrate their abilities in a tournament at the end of the semester.
We will provide all the important components, and it is up to you and your team to decide which concept you want to pursue. The restrictions imposed by the rules require creative solutions and a systematic approach.
The course takes place at FabLab Kiel, where numerous 3D printers, laser cutters, and other machines and devices are available. Here you have the opportunity to experiment freely with materials and processes in order to optimize your prototypes step by step.
Thanks to the workshop format, you will meet interesting people and have the opportunity to engage in intensive exchanges with other participants. Three experienced course instructors will be on hand to offer advice and support.

Are you a maker? Are you interested in technology and want to dive straight into practical work? Whether you have previous experience or not, we learn together and from each other with the aim of finding the best solutions and turning them into real prototypes. It's not just about technical skills, but above all about tactical considerations, dexterity, and creativity.
